The Bayhealth Foundation rolled out the red carpet on Thursday night to thank Bayhealth donors at the annual Celebrating Our Donors event at Maple Dale Country Club in Dover. Twenty-five individuals, families and corporate partners were recognized for their generous gifts between $5,000 and $100,000. Many of these gifts are recognized with plaques that are on display in Bayhealth Kent General. The combined donations of those recognized accounted for a total of nearly $700,000 in support of Bayhealth.
Bayhealth Foundation President Lindsay Rhodenbaugh said the event was a great success. “Some of our honorees were faithful, long-term supporters of Bayhealth,” he said. “Others were being acknowledged for their first significant commitment. In either case, these donors support Bayhealth based on their positive experiences with us and their belief in what we are accomplishing in the community.”
Two long-term supporters of Bayhealth – Jeff Young and Robert Schwartz – were featured speakers at the event. Schwartz said that he was happy to be in a room surrounded by people who know giving is more important than receiving. He praised Bayhealth for their top-notch, world-class cardiac care. "If I ever need further heart surgery, my doctor and I agree that the best care is available right here in Dover, Delaware at Bayhealth," Schwartz said.
Bayhealth is grateful to everyone who generously gives to support our mission. Donations enable Bayhealth to continue to improve the health status of all members of the communities we serve. Donors are an integral part of Bayhealth’s success.
